Brushing teeth with Daddy and other independent living skills

Our evening ritual is pretty set in stone - food, play, bath, play, wander around rocking a wriggling baby for several hours until you're so tired you could fall over.... But in between those activities comes teeth brushing - and Bridget loves to brush her teeth with Daddy!

It's probably the best shot of her 8 teeth we can manage at the moment - she's a little coy when it comes to showing off her new nashers!
In the last couple of weeks Bridget has developed an overwhelming desire to "do it herself" this has included, eating, playing, walking, bathing, nappy changes and taking clothes off. No matter how many times I try to explain that it's not time yet for her to be doing that task herself, it appears to fall on deaf ears! If only she could decide to go to sleep (and stay asleep) by herself!
Bridget enjoyed her first unmashed meal... of bread and nutella, what a hit!
 and what a mess!!!
Speaking of mess... Bridget with some help from Mummy painted her Christmas ornaments for Grandma, Gramsie, Granny, Nee-Nee and Parkie, "The boyzees" and other admirers!
Bridget was very excited to have a go of the paint brush... and painted two before mummy decided she'd complete the rest!
 Admiring her handiwork!
We've been trying a lot of new things... hair bows have been among the less successful on the list!
Cloth nappies... so far so good - we're part time users (mostly because it takes Bridget about 2 hours to dirty one and it takes mummy about 4 hours to make one!)

 Jane fonda moves ^
We have also started our walks in the autumn afternoons, which are quite lovely... especially give the lovely winter clothes and falling leaves (oh and the temperature being below 80F)

Being this cute really takes it out of you....

Bridget is fascinated by the leaves falling, which fortunately for her is by no means in short supply at our house!
HAPPY AUTUMN!
