Three visitors, Three trips, One cute Bridget

The past few weeks we've had such lovely visitors to stay before Bridget & I make our journey home.

Jared celebrated his first fathers day with the addition to our family of a BBQ Grill and we've been feasting on marinaded meats ever since! Jared loves to BBQ and with our 8 week absence on the horizon it appeared prudent to supply Jared with the means to cook for himself!

Miss Nici took some lovely pictures of Bridget being her cute self...
Nici, Bridget & I took a trip to Shasta Dam, it was crazy hot but we had a nice visit

Bridget enjoyed knawing on her baby carrier and Nici snapped some gorgeous pictures!
Bridget had to wear her hat, which was a very unpopular necessity - but she was so cute stretching and chattering away!
 Beautiful chubbs...
 Mummy and Bridgetty played snap...
just look at those gorgeous chubby fingers!

Saturday morning we headed out to the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay in Redding and despite the ridiculous heat - we had a lovely wander around.

Nici has an incredible gift taking completely candid shots and absolutely capturing the personality and character of her subjects...
 Mr Grumpy....
Mrs Mummy was so touched by Nici's caption for her photo: "I don't know where I would be if I never met Caroline. She is the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for. I love her so much, and it's amazing to see her go from being an amazing adoptive mother of twelve, to a wonderfully fantastic real mother of one. I love you!"

Jared up to monkey business!
We are so proud of Nici - she's an incredible young lady with many talents and we had a lovely time together.
"Thank you guys, for opening your hearts and letting me in. Thank you for putting up with me when I was in a very dramatic stage of my life, and thank you for helping me grow. Thank you for showing me what a functional family looks like, and for letting me be a part of your fully functioning family. I love you guys so much!!!!!!"

We took Nici to the bus station and said goodbye for a little while
The rest of the day was spent in Lassen National Park with Granny & Grandpa Hoag...

Mummy & Bridget had a nice time walking through the devastated area and examining the volcanic activity.
Lassen was the perfect spot to spend a hot afternoon the temperature dropped from 105*F to 74*F --> Fabulous and Mummy's mood improved significantly!
Bridget liked watching the trees pass...

Jared took us down to a lake - it was just perfect, we settled down and watched the water.

Daddy and Bridget had a lovely time playing Super-Bridgys
Dance Bridget Dance!

Bridget took a little nap and enjoyed playing with mummy and daddy

Say hello!

Bridget started to play a new game called "pull daddy's hair" it was very popular
So daddy introduced Bridget to a new game of his own...

Then it was time to leave... so sad.
